Robot shopping agent approaching a glowing online store checkout

Can AI Agents Buy From Your Store? Test It Free in 60 Seconds

In short

  • Dedica tests whether AI shopping agents can find your products, use your site and pay. 125 checks, one score out of 100.
  • The audit is free, takes under a minute and needs no signup. The fix kit costs $30 at the launch price (later $50).
  • An agent that cannot check out does not buy. You will not see those lost orders in your analytics.

More shoppers now send an AI agent to do the buying. If your checkout confuses a bot, the order goes to a competitor. Dedica tells you where you stand in about a minute.

What happened

Dedica launched this week and took first place on Product Hunt for October 29 with 297 points. It runs 125 checks in four areas: Discovery, Access, Usability and Payments. You get a score out of 100 and the fixes that would lift it most. It also offers a public API and an MCP server.

Pricing is simple. The audit is free. The fix kit is a one-time $30 per site at the launch price, normally $50. It gives you one instruction file per issue, written for tools like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or Copilot.

The timing is not random. Fortune reported this week that Amazon’s CEO called outside shopping agents less convenient than visiting retailers directly, and that Amazon blocked Meta’s Muse assistant from its store in September. Big retailers are already choosing which agents get in. Small shops can choose to welcome them.

How to use it

  1. Run the free audit on your homepage, then on a product page.
  2. Read the top fixes. Look at what blocks discovery and payment first, because that is where the money is.
  3. If the fixes are small, do them yourself. If not, buy the kit and hand the files to your coding agent.
  4. Run the audit again and compare the score.

Do the math: a developer at about €40 an hour needs maybe five hours to find and fix agent-readiness problems by hand. That is €200. The kit is $30, about €27. The free audit alone is worth doing before you spend anything. And if only two agent orders a month at an €80 average go missing, that is €160 a month and €1,920 a year. These are my assumptions, not Dedica numbers.

What it means

Agent shopping is still small, and Dedica’s score is its own model of how agents behave. A high score does not guarantee sales. But the cost of checking is zero, and shops that are readable by machines today will not need a rebuild later. Expect every e-commerce platform to ship its own version of this check within months.

Ivan’s Take

Do the free audit today. It costs nothing and takes a minute. I would run it on GiantParts first and only buy the kit if the score shows real problems in checkout. Do not pay before you see the number.
